Graphics / Photo Editing

Programs for editing or drawing graphics or just resizing.  Open Source graphic photo editors are a great alternative to expensive paid programs. Photo editing software is some of the most expensive software on the market and unless your a professional you can usually find a free app that will do what your looking for.

ColorZilla

ColorZilla is a handy Firefox plug-in that sits in the bottom tray of Firefox and will allow you to see what color code a particular color on a website is. Choose the eyedropper selector and click on a color. That's all it takes!

Color Pic

Color Pic is a handy tool to find out what color something is.  A website image, application background, anything that is displayed on your screen you can open Colorpic and move the cursor over the color you want to know and it will tell you what the color code is for that color.  This is very handy for web developers!

Easy Thumbnails

Have you ever wanted to email a large number of pictures to a friend or family member but they where just too large in sizer. Today's digital cameras take pictures that create file sizes over 5 Megabytes! Most free email services will only let you email around 10 Megabytes at a time. Resizeing all your images one at a time is just not a quick solution. Easy Thumbnails will resize all images that you select all at once.  You can choice to have it create Thumbnails (copies) instead of overwriting the originals as well. Select a folder to resize all images in that folder.  This tool is very helpful and I use it all the time for creating thumbnails for websites.

Image Resizer

Image Resizer for Windows is a utility that lets you resize one or more selected image files directly from Windows Explorer by right-clicking. It was created so that modern Windows users could regain the joy they left behind with Microsoft's Image Resizer Powertoy for Windows XP.
