Well lets say you are going to take a road trip and you have 4 movies you want to bring along but you don't want to loose the actual DVDs. You can "rip" these DVDs to your hard drive into an ISO format. Then with Magic Disc you can mount these ISO images to the virtual DVD drive and you will be watching you movie straight off your hard drive in full DVD quality with no DVD or annoying DVD spinning sound.
